Dr. McKinnon will play a key role in building a national network that will help shape the future of trauma treatment in Canada.

Moral injury: Exploring the consequences of a wounded conscience

Moral injury -- or the damage done to one's conscience when one's personal moral code is violated -- has been identified as a vital area of study for mental health researchers, particularly as it relates to military members and veterans. HRI Associate Clinical Scientist, Dr. Ruth Lanius, is looking for clues that will help guide treatment for individuals who have suffered a moral injury.
