Examining the Role of Therapeutic Alliance in Patient Recovery

How much does the relationship between patient and therapist affect an individual's recovery? As part of HRI's outcome monitoring system, our team has been measuring the relationship quality between patients and care providers in Homewood's Addiction Medicine Service, and preliminary data suggests that strong patient-therapist bonds may play a more important role in recovery than we once realized.
